How To Get Back In The Game

Welcome to the Mental Toughness Academy! Many athletes are frustrated by having to sit the bench.

In this video, Craig, the Mental Toughness Trainer, explains how to get back in the game when you just sitting the bench…

Is your athlete tired of sitting on the bench? Stop worrying!

There are many stories of famous athletes who were bench-warmers for quite some time, before they got their chance and all of them had one thing in common…they didn’t give up!

It is never “fun”, but there are lessons that can be learned from some other famous bench warmers that show it can actually be a positive experience.

Learn how by watching the video below…

Look I know it is no fun being a benchwarmer, but let me tell you a story…

It’s the 1st game of the 2008 season for the New England Patriots of the NFL and their MVP quarterback, Tom Brady gets injured. Famous benchwarmer, Matt Cassell is put in the game even though he has never even started one game during the 4 years of being a backup!

During those years, he played a total of only 4 quarters in 65 games, only being put in when the game didn’t matter.

Well if you missed the game, they ended up winning that game and Matt Cassell starts the rest of the season.

He went on to lead the Patriots to an 11-5 record only 3 months after sportswriters predict that he would be cut from the team!

He left the Patriots to go play for the Chiefs and there he was named to the 2010 Pro Bowl.

Now I bet you expected Cassell to have at least started during his college years, but his story is even more incredible. You see, Cassell, was also a backup quarterback all through college! He never started a game his entire college career and didn’t start a game in the NFL for 4 years after that!
